Alright. This felt like the War and Peace of Lucero tabs, and I didn't even start tabbing the wailing banshee G2 parts. The sucker just goes on and on, but it's a really fun song, so I think it's worth the effort.
The intro/chorus riffs takes some practice, but it's not actually very complicated. Apart from the changing bass notes, there are only two diferent parts to the riff. For instance, I've broken the intro into 7 parts, but 1,2,4,5, and 7 are basically the same, and so are 3 and 6.
(Intro)
_______________________A Riff
I can't say I mind you dancing
____________________________________E Riff
It's quite impressive in those shoes
________________________________A Riff
And I don't need no complications
__________________________B
But those are complicated moves
______________E_________________________A
Hell it's all sixes and sevens to me now
________________E
For all I can remember
_____________________B________________________A
I just took my money out and thrown it on the ground
______________________E
Just thrown it on the ground
Drinking women, chasing whiskey
Like there's nothing left to lose
Now if she'd only kiss me
I'd be a little less confused
(See the bridge riff below)
Six it tells me to believe
Seven kicks me in the teeth
Six won't let my heart a-roam
Seven split for Mexico
Figure the more time I spend sleeping
When we hit New Orleans
The more chance I might break even
That didn't sound like fun to me

About This Blog
I started this blog because the tabs on the Lucero message board kept getting lost when they switched sites. A blog isn't a perfect forum for guitar tabs and chords, but it now has posts for all but a handful of their songs. And, to the best of my knowledge, this is the only source for Lucero tabs that has been endorsed by an actual Lucero guitarist. Accept no substitutes.
Thank you to the folks who have sent me submissions, suggestions, and corrections. Thanks also to anyone who posted a tab on the luceromusic.com boards. You can find me there posting as Boston Twang. You can also email me at lucerotabs@gmail. Submissions and/or corrections are greatly appreciated.
Holy shit! That's how that goes... www.lucerotabs.blogspot.com

General Thoughts on Lucero Chords
Ben seems to favor chord variations that fret the B string at the third fret. If a C, Em, G, or A doesn't seem quite right, try:
Cadd9 (x32030), Em7 (022030), G (320033), Asus (x02230)
Also, I think he leaves the E string open on a lot of his D chords (xx0230).
