About This Blog

I started this blog because the tabs on the Lucero message board kept getting lost when they switched sites. A blog isn't a perfect forum for guitar tabs and chords, but it now has posts for all but a handful of their songs. And, to the best of my knowledge, this is the only source for Lucero tabs that has been endorsed by an actual Lucero guitarist. Accept no substitutes.

Holy shit! That's how that goes... www.lucerotabs.blogspot.com

Thank you to the folks who have sent me submissions, suggestions, and corrections. Thanks also to anyone who posted a tab on the luceromusic.com boards. You can find me there posting as Boston Twang. You can also email me at lucerotabs@gmail. Submissions and/or corrections are greatly appreciated.

General Thoughts on Lucero Chords

Ben seems to favor chord variations that fret the B string at the third fret. If a C, Em, G, or A doesn't seem quite right, try:
Cadd9 (x32030), Em7 (022030), G (320033), Asus (x02230)

Also, I think he leaves the E string open on a lot of his D chords (xx0230).

hey, thanks for the kid and toadvine. are you ever post cass??? it's one of my favorites and I can't find tabs for it any where.

Yeah, I think I'll get Cass someday, but everything that isn't posted (excepting brand new stuff) is stuff that I've taken at least one whack at and gotten stuck. Lots of times I'll come back to something after a while and it gets unstuck. Sometimes I stumble on a video or live audio that clears something up. So it may happen, but I can't give you a time frame.

Actually, I just made another pass at it and I think I got a lot closer. Stay tuned, I'll see if I can do finish it before too long.

cool thanks, I hope I'm not annoying about the tabs.

No worries. So long as people don't forget that this is something I squeeze into my spare time, I'm happy to try to do whatever will make the site useful for folks, and I appreciate the feedback.

Any chance you can work up "Weight of Guilt"?

I haven't had much time for guitar recently, but at some point I'll give Weight of Guilt another try. It's tough for a few reasons. First, as far as I can tell, they've never played it live, and live versions are really useful for tabbing. Second, most of one guitar part is just that one chord with a little wrinkle in it. I know it's not a first position chord, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Anyhow, I'll see what I can do.

The first chord thingy is 8 on the G and 9 on the B. Then pinky on and off 11 on the B string. With this amazing piece of information, I'm sure you should be able to tab out the entire song! :P
