About This Blog

I started this blog because the tabs on the Lucero message board kept getting lost when they switched sites. A blog isn't a perfect forum for guitar tabs and chords, but it now has posts for all but a handful of their songs. And, to the best of my knowledge, this is the only source for Lucero tabs that has been endorsed by an actual Lucero guitarist. Accept no substitutes.

Holy shit! That's how that goes... www.lucerotabs.blogspot.com

Thank you to the folks who have sent me submissions, suggestions, and corrections. Thanks also to anyone who posted a tab on the luceromusic.com boards. You can find me there posting as Boston Twang. You can also email me at lucerotabs@gmail. Submissions and/or corrections are greatly appreciated.

General Thoughts on Lucero Chords

Ben seems to favor chord variations that fret the B string at the third fret. If a C, Em, G, or A doesn't seem quite right, try:
Cadd9 (x32030), Em7 (022030), G (320033), Asus (x02230)

Also, I think he leaves the E string open on a lot of his D chords (xx0230).

A Dangerous Thing

This is a really easy song, but somehow the tab that was posted before kinda sucked. Sorry about that. This one is much better.

Main riff:

Verse chords:

Well I'm reckless and free now, you can't Hurt me
My heart is not meant to be tamed
And your beauty and charms won't do me no harm
So just stop looking at me that way

Chorus riff:

Chrorus chords:

well it's plain to see you're a dangerous thing
with those hips and those lips and those eyes
it's lucky for me that i like being free
or i might try and make you mine
now i might give in and kiss you
but don't plan on me staying long
now i might give in and kiss you
but tomorrow i will be gone

Hey man, long time no talk... because all the tabs rock! Is it just my CD or is there a messed up triplet or something about 3 seconds into this one?

Hopefully the answer is Yes, because I will be extremely depressed if my CD is scratched.

I don't hear any mistakes exactly, but it is kind of loose at the beginning. Dunno. They have all the old records available to stream on luceromusic.com, so you can check and see if it's the same as your CD.

is it just me.. or should that "D" string be a "G" string in the main riff?

Yeah, I don't know what happened there. I guess it must have been obvious, since no one else has mentioned it, but it's corrected now.
