About This Blog

I started this blog because the tabs on the Lucero message board kept getting lost when they switched sites. A blog isn't a perfect forum for guitar tabs and chords, but it now has posts for all but a handful of their songs. And, to the best of my knowledge, this is the only source for Lucero tabs that has been endorsed by an actual Lucero guitarist. Accept no substitutes.

Holy shit! That's how that goes... www.lucerotabs.blogspot.com

Thank you to the folks who have sent me submissions, suggestions, and corrections. Thanks also to anyone who posted a tab on the luceromusic.com boards. You can find me there posting as Boston Twang. You can also email me at lucerotabs@gmail. Submissions and/or corrections are greatly appreciated.

General Thoughts on Lucero Chords

Ben seems to favor chord variations that fret the B string at the third fret. If a C, Em, G, or A doesn't seem quite right, try:
Cadd9 (x32030), Em7 (022030), G (320033), Asus (x02230)

Also, I think he leaves the E string open on a lot of his D chords (xx0230).

And We Fell

The tab I posted earlier wasn't very good. Sorry. It's better now.

Intro riffs:

For Ben's part, pick through Dm, Am, C, G, then play an F chord. Like this:

---1-------0-------0-------3------1-1--
-----3-------1-------1-------3----1-1--
-------2-------2-------0-------0--2-2--
-0--------------------------------3-3--
---------0-------3----------------3-3--
-------------------------3--------1-1--

For Brian's part, the riff goes like this:

--------------------0-0-
--------------------1-1-
-----5-----7-5------0-0-
-5-7---5-7------7---3-3-
--------------------3-3-
------------------------

_______C____________________Am
And we fell fell around the world
Dm___________________G
a drunken mess, with nothing left
_______Am__________________F
and we are the one's still holding on
___C________________________________G
to all those dreams, we didn't know were done
F
uh huh

And we fell across the state
never gaining much, never giving up
and I'll raise a glass, and we will today
to all those times, that never went our way
uh huh

Riffs again

uh huh

And we fell through the town
held each other up, never stayin' down
and we'll take a drink, we ain't got too much
and I'm still not sure, just what became of us
uh huh

Riffs again
